Authorizing automatic payments

You can give your permission to a merchant to automatically charge your chosen payment method multiple times based on a single authorization from you. Examples include:

  • A recurring payment for a fixed (not variable) amount at regular intervals over a specified time period for a magazine subscription or to pay a usage-based invoice like a mobile phone bill.
  • Multiple payments where a merchant can charge you one or more times for varying amounts over a fixed or variable period of time. For example, for purchases you make in the future at the merchant’s digital music store. The merchant can charge your account a minimum or maximum amount every 15 days.

We send you an email confirmation when you have authorized a merchant to make recurring charges to your chosen payment method.

You can review or cancel your payment authorizations at any time on the Amazon Pay website.
